Morgan Grunefeld (Groningen, 1989) has been working as a freelance director and creative under the name The Film Creator since 2019.
After studying Journalism and Photography, he continued his education in Visual Design at Minerva Art Academy and completed a one-year course in Fiction Directing at the Amsterdam Film School. There, he created his first short film Lost Kids, about drug abuse among young people in the modeling industry. In 2021 Morgan attended the TV Academy to develop Tv formats.

He then produced and directed Koud Bloed, a short film developed during the COVID-19 pandemic, which revealed the dangers hidden behind closed doors in times of isolation and domestic violence. More recently, he directed the short film In Love Again, about ILA, a young drug-addicted woman struggling with street life.
In addition, he worked on the set of the successful feature film  Loverboy: Emoties Uit and is currently completing his first feature film Rebeldogs, the first AI-shaped feature about crypto. He is also developing De Aanleiding, a drama series about power and abuse in the advertising world, and working on the documentary Verloren Jongens Winnen Altijd, about creative youths in Amsterdam Zuidoost who try to stay away from crime through music.

His work often explores themes of abuse, manipulation, and power structures, in line with his mission: “BY MAKING DARKNESS VISIBLE, WE CREATE SPACE FOR LIGHT”.
